“Corporate PLUS”: Huge interest in new lecture format by ScherbaumSeebacher
On 31.01. as well as on 07.02.2020 Mag. Florian Thelen, attorney at law at Scherbaum-Seebacher, gave a lecture in the Vienna and Graz offices on the topic “Fair Settlement? The role of the management in the group”. The lectures were the kick-off for the new format “Corporate PLUS”, in which topics of (litigious) corporate law and corporate financing will be covered regularly.
Using typical case studies, corporate law expert Florian Thelen and Michael Karre, LLM. (Deloitte) spoke about the central questions that management must keep in mind when offsetting within the group and showed how disputes can develop. The subsequent discussion showed that the reconciliation of interests between company, shareholder and group is a constant issue for the management in the group, but that criticism is also increasingly coming from minority shareholders.
